During his professional career, Marc Louwers authored several technical and scientific articles for specialized journals and acoustics conferences.

Since his retirement, Marc Louwers has written several articles on the history of sound for the magazine "Echo Bruit" published by the French Noise Information and Documentation Center (CIDB) in France and for the journal of the Belgian association "Record Memory Club," of which he is a member.

These texts finally formed a history of sound in 100 dates, first self-published in 50 numbered copies in 2023, then finally published by editor Deville in 2024.

Marc Louwers continues his research on the history of his profession and also wrote a history of chess, "From Shatranj to Queen's Gambit," in 2022 (unpublished).

He wrote a summary of his professional activities in his "Post Scriptum" in 2025.
